BC Day Closure by Webmaster - 01/08/2007

The Garage will be closed for the BC day weekend from Saturday, August 4th through Monday, August 6th. We will re-open Tuesday, August 7th at 8:00 am.

Soap Box Derby by Webmaster - 18/06/2007

The Kitsilano Soap Box Derby is happening this weekend! We are a major sponsor of the event and encourage all members of the community to get out and support the racers and the event!

Sunday, June 24, 2007. Racetimes are from 9 am to 12 pm. Celebrating 60 young drivers racing down West 4th Avenue between Yew and Burrard, it is an excellent community event. Last year’s Derby drew nearly 5,000 spectators and countless volunteers.

The Garage Team will be at the event setting up the starting gates and providing track support, as well as performing all safety inspections on the day of the race. If you have any questions about your soap box car, fell free to call the shop at 604-733-1312.

May Closures by Webmaster - 09/05/2007

The Garage will be closed on Monday, May 14, 2007 and Monday, May 21, 2007. We will resume business on the Tuesday following each day.

The Garage on TV! by Webmaster - 02/05/2007

n February, the GVRD (Greater Vancouver Regional District) called looking for some information on a case study that was done a few years ago. They were doing a television story on Stormdrains and noted that we had a unique company in regards to our environmental consciousness. Take a look at the case study here:

We did an interview with them regarding many of the environmental practices we maintain at The Garage, specifically around prevention of contaminants making it to the sewer systems and the impact of that on the environment.

We were notified yesterday by the staff at the Vancouver Courier that we have been selected as one of the best automotive repair shops in Vancouver for the 2007 Stars of Vancouver Readers Choice Awards.
